Redmi Note 11 Pro lagging? Make it smoother

If you use your phone for an extended period of time, it is likely that you will encounter lagging or hanging issues, regardless of how expensive your phone is. In this article, we will provide some important tips to help fix lagging or hanging problems on your Redmi Note 11 Pro phone. Let’s get started:

Ways to fix lagging [also known as hanging] issues on the Redmi Note 11 Pro

To prevent your Redmi Note 11 Pro from lagging or hanging, follow the steps outlined below:

1. Clear the Data Cache

One potential cause of lag on your phone may be the cache. Cache files are generated when you use an app or access a website, whether you are downloading files or just browsing. These files can accumulate over time and may contribute to slower performance on your device.

Although these files are temporary and will become obsolete after a certain period of time, they can still significantly affect the storage and RAM memory on your phone.

Follow the instructions below:

To start, navigate to device settings, then look for “storage” and then “cached data.” The final step is to select “Clear Cache” from the menu, and that’s it.

Important Note: When deleting cache, you may encounter the “Clear Data” option. However, it is important to avoid selecting this option as it can result in the loss of important files needed for the proper functioning of the app.

We strongly recommend against using certain dedicated apps (such as ####Cleaner) that claim to improve the speed of your device by deleting cache and junk files. These apps are ineffective and will not actually improve the performance of your phone.

2. Disable or Uninstall any Apps that are no longer in use:

When you purchase a new phone even handsets running on stock/pure Android, it typically comes with default apps that are pre-installed. These apps are often underutilised and can take up a lot of space on your Redmi Note 11 Pro’s memory. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to uninstall a few default applications like Google Maps; in that case, we recommend disabling them.

To accomplish this task, you should follow these steps:

Simply long-press on the app icon > tap on App details > select “Disable” from menu.

You’ll get some extra storage space as a result of this. You may see an option called “Sleep” on some devices; with this option, you can keep the app in standby mode without having to disable it.

3. Turn off the Auto-sync Feature [ Redmi Note 11 Pro lagging ]

The auto-sync feature updates you with your Gmail accounts, workplace changes, and meeting notifications. However, it also runs in the background and uses a lot of RAM, which can slow down your device.

To turn off auto-sync, follow these procedures:

Go to settings -> accounts -> scroll down the page until you see the “Auto sync” option, then turn it off.

4. Updates to Software:

The Redmi Note 11 Pro, like most popular phones from well-known brands, will receive regular software upgrades. These upgrades will not only bring the phone up to date with the latest version of Android, but they will also address minor issues and improve overall functionality.

This could help you to overcome lagging issues after your Redmi Note 11 Pro is bug-free.

To determine if your phone is up to date Or not:

Go to settings -> look for the “Software update or System update” option -> Tap on it & find an option labeled “Check for software update” -> click on it -> If the update is available, you’ll be able to download and install it.

Tip: We suggest downloading the software update over a Wi-Fi network if it is large (1GB or more) unless you have an unlimited mobile data plan.

5. Close Unwanted Apps

If you have several Apps open/running in the background on your Redmi Note 11 Pro, even if you are not actively using them, this can cause your device to experience lagging problems. To prevent this from occurring, you should close all unnecessary apps by pressing the “Overview Button” on your phone.

While there are other methods for addressing similar issues. However, we believe they are difficult to use, therefore we chose to skip them. We hope you found this post useful.
