As a new year gift, it’s good to see Xiaomi decided to push the latest Android 11 update for its Mi A3 smartphone. But it looks like company wasn’t prepared well & might be was in too hurry to complete their promise. As a result, several Mi A3 users are now reporting that after downloading & installing Android 11 update of around 1.40 GB size their phones are bricking.
In a simple words, it’s not possible to boot-up & use Mi A3. Even if a user connects his phone with a charger, there is no change. Mi A3 is continuously in a switched off condition. We have mentioned some tweets below (mostly from users in India) where you can see what users are really having complaints about:
Now after this incident of bricking devices, Xiaomi India’s support team has confirmed that they have stopped the rollout process of Android 11 update for Mi A3 owners. Also, it has been claimed that their team is working to resolve the issue:
If you own Mi A3 & your device is already affected with the same problem then we suggest you to visit the nearest authorized service center as soon as possible. Other users who still didn’t have updated their Mi A3 can hold for next few days/weeks. Do not try to update your device. Once Xiaomi announces a fix for this issue we’ll update this story.
